Eleanor Morton is a Scottish stand-up, writer and actor who started performing stand-up when she was 18 years old.

Her lastest Fringe show, Eleanor Morton Has Peaked, enjoyed a sell-out run and will be on tour in 2023.

Eleanor is also well known for her online sketch characters like Craig the Tourguide, which have gained her fans such as Patton Oswalt, Michael McKean and Taika Waititi

Recently she wrote and recorded a show for BBC R4, ‘The Rest of Us’, with Welsh comic Esyllt Sears and Northern Irish comic Mary Flanigan, about over looked figures in UK history.

Her 2019 Fringe show ‘Post-Morton’ was one of the Fest’s Picks of the Fringe

As well as gigging all over the UK, Eleanor has provided tour support for Josie Long, Tony Law, Frankie Boyle, Stewart Francis and Lost Voice Guy. She appeared on BBC Comedy Presents at the Fringe in 2019.

Eleanor has written for The Newsquiz, The Now Show, Newsjack, Hypothetical and The Beano among other projects. She has also been a panellist and writer on Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News, and appeared on Radio 4 and Radio 4 Extra. She has performed seven shows at The Edinburgh Fringe, at The Stand and Monkey Barrel Comedy Clubs.  These shows include her 2014 show  Lollipop, (Nominated for a Scottish Comedy Award for Best Show), and Great Title, Glamorous Photo  (2018), which can both be found on NextUp. She is also a performer with the award-winning London comedy group Weirdos, who’s ambitiously bizarre projects include shows like Tony Law On Ice (On ice), Gary Lineker and the Crisp Factory, and Murder at The True Crime Convention.

Eleanor is currently based in Edinburgh and travels all over the UK to work and perform
